How to make a media kit as a creator.

A media kit is the one-page summary brands look at before they reply to you. Here is what to put in it and how to keep it simple.

In short

A creator media kit is a short, one-page document that shows brands who you are, who your audience is, what you have made and how to contact you. Keep it to one page, lead with audience data and past work, and update it every few months.

What a media kit is

A media kit is your professional profile for brands. Instead of explaining yourself in every message, you share one clean page. It saves time for you and makes it easy for a brand to say yes.

What to include

  1. A short intro. Who you are, your niche and your city, in two or three lines.
  2. Your platforms and handles. With follower counts and links.
  3. Audience data. Top cities, age range and gender split, taken from your platform's professional dashboard.
  4. Your content style. The kind of content you make, with two or three of your best examples.
  5. Past collaborations. Brands you have worked with, and what you made for them.
  6. Services you offer. Reels, Stories, UGC, or product reviews.
  7. Contact details. Email and WhatsApp.

Show audience data, not just follower count

Brands care about who follows you. A creator with 15,000 followers, most of them in the brand's target city, can be a better fit than one with a much larger but scattered audience.

On Instagram, switch to a professional account, open your profile, tap Professional dashboard and then Account insights. The audience section shows your top cities, age ranges and gender split. Screenshot these, and add average views on your recent Reels if you can.

Should you put your rates in?

It is your choice. Some creators list starting rates for each deliverable, which saves time. Others write "rates on request" so they can price each campaign by usage rights and effort. If you list rates, keep them realistic. Our guide on how small creators get paid brand deals covers how to think about pricing.

Design tips

  • One page, in PDF format, so it opens on any phone
  • A clean layout with plenty of space, and your own photo
  • Two fonts at most
  • Make links clickable
  • Name the file clearly, for example "Name – Creator Media Kit"

Common mistakes

  • Too many pages or too much text
  • Old numbers that no longer match your profile
  • No audience data, only follower count
  • Missing contact details
  • Claiming results you cannot show

Frequently asked questions

What is a media kit for influencers?

A media kit is a short document that introduces a creator to brands: who they are, their audience, past work and contact details.

How long should a creator media kit be?

One page is ideal. If you have a lot of past work, link to a longer portfolio.

Do I need a big following to make a media kit?

No. Nano and micro creators benefit from a media kit too, because it shows professionalism and audience quality, not only size.

How often should I update my media kit?

Every few months, or whenever your numbers or best work change.
